The British Heart Foundation needed a fresh look for its site. The organisation had enjoyed the success of its previous design for several years, but now required a look that would not only please the eye but also accommodate a much larger base of content.

With so much information to manage, usability was key, so we redeveloped www.bhf.org.uk to ensure that people could navigate BHF’s vast amounts of content quickly and easily.

Powered by Alterian WCM

Alterian WCM was the natural choice for the redevelopment, as its highly-flexible templates allow for the inclusion of bespoke Web 2.0 functionality and jQuery libraries. This gave the BHF content editors greater scope for creativity and the site even more potential to grow.

In terms of Web 2.0 features, the revamped site makes use of a Mega-nav, coda navigation, newsfeeds and social media integration from Facebook and Twitter, all of which help the British Heart Foundation to connect with its web visitors like never before.
