Despite its leading
reputation, City Index had one of the worst performing sites in their
category, based on customer engagement, acquisition, usability and Search
Engine Optimisation (SEO). City Index engaged Positive Technology to
assess the performance of their site based on these factors.
User Centred and researched design and development
Designing a new Information Architecture based on analysing the customer
behaviour and User Experience findings, we redeveloped the City Index
website on the Ektron CMS400.NET Content Management System.
A solid foundation
Ektron CMS400.NET
was specifically chosen as it offered a powerful and solid framework from
which to build from and offered the scalabilty required to roll out to
it’s global markets around the world in future, while making it easy to
maintain.
The site was delivered with an enhanced user experience, in-line with SEO
best practices and bespoke functionality, including:
- Live market information feed integrated with the City Index trading platform
- Integration with 3rd party news feeds
- Content and functionality widgets
The
site made extensive use of PageBuilder which allowed drag-and-drop page
creation and layout on the fly by content managers.
900% conversion increase
Within the first month the site had seen the account application process
improve by 900%. User engagement had improved significantly in terms of
time-on-site and reduction of bounce rate.
